Etiquette: the Kilt-Check

Yes, the groomsmen are all in kilts. Some of you may blush, swoon, or snicker, but remember this is formal attire. Dærick specifically requested his attendants all wear kilts, as it is a proper mode of gentlemanly dress. That said, we know you all too well. So, for those of you who just absolutely feel compelled to ask, here are the rules for going about a proper kilt-check.

RULE #1:
Ask first. Period. The groomsmen are all being very good sports about this, but please remember they are doing so on behalf of the groom’s request. Some of the gentlemen, dapper as they are, are absolutely out of the comfort zones. Ask first, politely, and be prepared to be declined. It’s ok, there are more kilts about!

RULE #2:
If they are with a partner, ask the partner as well.

RULE #4:
Don’t make a big show of it. While amusing, this is still a formal, family event.
