Staying overnight/Camping

For those of you intending to remain on site overnight for the after-party, please read this page carefully.

The Fire Garden is a private property, so first and foremost please be respectful of the grounds and installations and treat everything as if it were someone’s home. Because it is. There are neighbors, so we will not be able to have loud music playing late into the night (that applies to bringing your own instruments).

The main reception will begin winding down by 11:00, and the gates will close by midnight. Anyone intending to stay for the after-party will need to be inside the gate by then, no one else will be granted entry after this time. If you’re intending to stay only for an hour or so, that’s fine, you’ll be allowed to stay for a bit but you will not be served any alcohol since you are not staying over.

For those staying overnight, you have a couple of options:
1) It is August and there are several lounge spaces throughout the property. Party all night and sleep open-air as you need to.
2) Bring a small (seriously, 10×10 max) tent to throw down for the night. Read below for claiming a spot, space is very limited for this. Please do not bring all your survival gear… This is just a crash-pad, keep it simple.
3) You may sleep in your car if you choose, but there are caveats…
a) Don’t plan on building a camp around your car, there isn’t the space. Plan to sleep in your car.
b) We will bring in as many cars inside the gate as we can. If yours is among them, it pretty much is your tent and you can come and go as needed. If you are tent camping, don’t bring your car in. Let someone else have the spot.
c) If you are staying over, and your car is outside the gate in the lot, you may still stay over. You may leave to go sleep in your car, but you will not be able to come back in until breakfast the next morning. We have to know that you won’t be driving, otherwise we will find a different solution. Anyone intending to drive must be in a safe and sober condition to drive. Period.
4) Bringing a tent but being willing to sleep in your car gives you options. We love options.

Trailers/RVs: We strongly encourage people to come in cars. There is not a lot of space onsite for trailers and RVs, and there are no hookups. If you need to have an RV, please coordinate through Dærick and Kelly directly no later than June 30.

Arranging space for tents: There is a limited amount of space for tents, please call out in the comments below if you are interested in a spot. Keep your footprint small (10×10 max, please), and don’t plan to spread out a bunch of gear into a camp space. Please don’t bring camp stoves, bright blinky outdoor lights, picnic benches, etc. The idea here is set up a small tent, sleep in it, wake up, take it down. Be courteous and mindful of neighbors, tent-city will likely be densely packed. NOTE: Just because you requested a spot doesn’t mean you got it. Please wait for confirmation before setting your tent plans in stone.

  7. You shouldn’t need anything then. You may want to bring a warm coat in case it gets chilly overnight.

  8. Hi darlings!
Is there a space available for me and Christopher to sleep/camp in my car overnight if I get up the courage to do it? :-)
    xoxo

  9. If there is still space, we would love to tent camp for the evening. That is if Dana does not want more excitement in her life and throws me out of her tent.

    Cheers,
    Yaju

  10. Hi Heather! There is only camping on Saturday night, but we’ll mark you down. Please note the size limit for tents is 10×10 to ensure there’s room for everyone. Looking forward to seeing you!

  11. Hey there Lovebirds, I just wanted to make sure there will be room for me and my van to camp in. I emailed with Kelly earlier, but just wanted to confirm.

  12. Confirming we are planning to sleep in the car unless feeling poorly – looking forward to the event! :-) xoxo
